Check out Sean's New Motorcycle

We spent Saturday afternoon at Escondido Cycle Center buying Sean a motorcycle. He's wanted one for about two years now and we finally went out and bought it.

Here it is in the back of Sean's truck when we brought it home:

Here's Sean getting ready to take it for a spin around the block:

He picked out a Kawasaki KLR 650, the only reasonably priced motorcycle that's tall enough for him.

Now I'm toying with the idea of getting a little scooter for my 2.5 mile commute. I was looking at this Honda Metropolitan in the store:

But it only goes about 35 mph so Sean didn't think it would be safe on a busy street. So now I'm thinking about getting a Genuine Buddy:

It tops out at about 60 mph and it gets 80 mpg (for my 5 mile round trip commute, I'd be able to go about 3 weeks on a gallon of gas.) Conveniently, there's a scooter dealer downtown that sells and services them. And it's pink and we all know that it's pinkness is far more important than any other quality. How cute would that be tooling around Rancho Bernardo? I'd have to get a pink helmet and a scarf, of course. And a little basket on the front for any stuff I need to carry. And a matching pink and white jacket. And some white gloves. It's all about the accessories. You can also get a seatcover for it. I haven't decided which one is cuter, the pink checks or the little skulls:

Anyway, that was my weekend. Oh, and I got highlights Saturday morning. It looks awesome but I don't have any pictures.

...and there was some sport on TV but whatever.
