Finally some success!

After close to two years gaining and losing the same 5 pounds, I've finally started seriously losing weight again. In the past month I've lost 7 pounds beyond what had been my lowest weight. I'm down to 163 and just yesterday I bought my very first pair of size 8 jeans. I've never worn single digit sizes before so this is HUGE for me! Three more pounds and I'll weigh what I said I weighed on my drivers license when I was 16 (I was actually 180, believe it or not.) So you probably want to know what I've been doing differently. To start off, I've mostly stopped eating out. There are also no snack foods in my house at all. If it's not healthy, it's not in my house. Sean's on a pretty strict diet right now too so it's made it a lot easier to be a food nazi (he's down almost 60 pounds! Oh, to be 6'6" and a dude.) Also, we've joined a health club and I've been taking these crazy exercise classes. Spin class is completely insane. After one of those classes, it looks like I just got out of a pool. The cool part is that I can work really, really hard and not mess up my knees. The other class I've been going to is Kickboxing (which is also surprisingly easy on my knees). The Monday and Wednesday night kickboxing instructor at LA Fitness is a sadistic bitch and I love her for it! She's blonde and adorable and I'm pretty sure she could really hurt me if she wanted to. When I can't make it to the gym, I default to my workout videos or go running.

I betcha wanna know what I've been eating lately so here's my diet and exercise log for yesterday:

Brunch: scrambled tofu, whole wheat toast and strawberries
Snack: banana
Snack: Peanut butter and apple butter on whole wheat bread
Dinner: big salad and BBQ tofu pizza made with whole wheat crust, BBQ sauce, red onions, red bell peppers, baked tofu and cheddar flavored veggie shreds (sounds weird, but it was awesome! The kids were a little teary eyed that we had no leftovers)

Workout: LA Fitness closed early for memorial day so I did my High Step Training video
