Email Exchange with a Local Radio DJ

An email I sent to a local radio DJ:

Dear Radio DJ,

I would like to respectfully request that you not play "Jump Around" by House of Pain during the 4 o'clock hour. That song makes me feel compelled to gouge my eardrums out with an ice pick. Seriously, I thought I was rid of that song when it stopped being cool 15 years ago.

Dear radio listener,

Thank you for your respectful request. We ask that you refrain from gouging your eardrums out with an ice pick. Perhaps some squishy soft earplugs would do the trick. Another suggestion is to use that 3 minutes of time to have a nice stretch - or perhaps a tasty snack from the break room. Getting one's blood flowing and proper nutrition has proven to increase productivity significantly in ergonomics research.
