This is going to be a very random blog...

Let us mourn the loss of the power adapter that goes with my laptop. It actually lasted quite a long time since the power adapter for the G4 aluminum PowerBooks are probably the most poorly designed apple product in history. From what I hear, they usually crap out after about a year and I've had mine for about five. The Apple Store in the mall doesn't carry them (they would have to special order it) and the little mac shop in my town is all out and should be getting more sometime this week. I think I'm going to have to order one. Macalley makes one that looks to be a bit more durable and it's about half the price of the offical Apple one so I think I'll get that one. Sadly, it'll be a while before I can surf the internet while watching TV because the family computer is in the office upstairs.

I've been a total slacker on exercise this past week. I officially suck. I did make up for it a little bit on Saturday when my family went for a 4.5 mile hike up Sabino Canyon in the Catalina National Forest. It was a beautiful day and the wildflowers were out and the view was totally breathtaking. Sean took lots of pictures but again, I'm a slacker and I haven't put them online yet so you get to use your imagination. I'm going to need to come up with an exercise schedule and stick to it. I was going to get up early and workout this morning but I decided that I'd rather actually get to work on time. Hopefully I'll have time to exercise tonight. It'll be tough since Sean's got a paper due and I'm helping him type it. Tomorrow night I have to go to a stupid church thing. Normally I would skip out on it because they're serving dinner and the food always sucks and there won't be anything I'd want to eat except maybe salad and rolls. But, I got suckered into singing. Apparently I sat next to the wrong person at church and now they know I can carry a tune and read music and harmonize and stuff. So I got asked to sing at this thing tomorrow and also to sing at church on Easter. Goody. I really don't mind singing in front of people, especially in a group but I sing alto (the girls who sing the low notes) and the other people who are singing the alto part with me kind of suck. The only hit the right notes about half of the time, which is annoying. I would much rather just carry the whole alto part myself than sing with people who suck. The only cool part about participating in church music stuff is I get to ride my scooter more. I rode it to choir practice yesterday and last week and I get to ride it to the church tomorrow night.

In other news...
Sean started his new job today. He's actually working for the company he was working for in San Diego, Presentation Services. They finally had an opening here in Tucson so they hired him as fast as they could. He's the Sales Manager for the Audiovisual department at the Westin La Paloma, a super-swank resort. It's actually where Raytheon had me stay when they brought me out to interview. He's never done sales before but they told him it's more of a show producer job than sales. Companies come out to the resort for big events and it's Sean's job to help them figure out what audiovisual services and equipment they need.

Also today one of Sean's friends, a fellow ex-boy scout employee is moving out to Phoenix. It should be cool to have someone we can pal around with. It will also be that much easier to set him up with our friend Ester.

Next week at work I get to take a Tactical Missiles Fundementals class to further hone my warmongering/rocket science skills. It should be big time fun.

At the end of the month is my birthday and two of my friends are coming out to visit. My friend Janet is thinking of moving here because she hates living in LA so she's coming out to check out the town. Kat's coming cuz she wants to hang out with me and Janet and she's also an archeologist and I tempted her with pictures of the totally cool petroglyphs and ancient cliff dwellings that we have here in Southern Arizona. Also My Chemical Romance is playing here in Tucson on my birthday but I don't think I'll go because I'd probably be the oldest person there. That whole emo-punk thing is big with the 15-year-old crowd. Nick thinks I could still pass for a senior in high school though (what a good boy!)
