A little something to make my California friends and family jealous...

Fun with Streaming Video

Me and Sean went and saw the Gin Blossoms on Saturday. Remember the Gin Blossoms? You know, "Hey Jealousy", "Alison Road"? Those guys. The show was at an RV "Resort" in Tucson. It was a fund raiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The venue was cheesy and the crowd was small, but the show was awesome. You know how some bands sound really good on their album and then you go to see them and you're really disappointed? Not these guys. The were actually really, really awesome live.

This is the audience before the show:

This is the stage:

Here's me and Sean waiting for the show to start:

Here's proof that the band actually does play for beer:

Here's the band playing:

About halfway through the show, I noticed that the lead singer (Rob Wilson) has the Dark Mark tattooed on his arm. It's a Harry Potter thing, but it looks totally badass. We took a picture.

Here's a picture of Rob after he signed our CD which just happened to be in the car. Seriously three weeks ago, we were schooling the kids on the awesome music of the 90s and The Gin Blossoms CD, "New Miserable Experience", circa 1992 was one of the CDs we picked (along with The Spin Doctors' "Pocket Full of Kryptonite" and Soul Asylum's "Grave Dancers Union".)

I don't know why there was a fake plastic pig in the room, but Sean just had to take a picture of me riding it

And because Sean is a huge audiovisual geek with a really big memory card in his digital camera, he took some video and then brought it home and dropped it into iMovie. Because I'm awesome, I figured out how to stream it on our website. It even works for you Windows users. It's in quicktime format so you need quicktime, but if you don't it automatically sends you to the quicktime site to download it. Click here for awesome streaming video
